Eli Climbed The Void of Form, Mt Lemmon

Eli is always challenging himself and learning new skills. His latest obsession is rock climbing. He went out with one of his friends to climb the Void in Tucson, AZ. It’s a multi-pitch climb. He did 10 pitches.

Eli’s account from the day…

“It was BRUTAL hiking up and down. Only 2.5 miles each way for the hike but its 1500 ft elevation up and 2700-ish ft elevation decline. It was 4 hours of hiking and 5.25 house of climbing or so. The hike was HORRIBLE though not gonna lie. It wasn’t pretty and it was just tough! But the climb was super epic sauce. It was the most accomplished I’ve felt in a long time.”

He amazes me with his courage and ability to learn new things. I’m really proud of him even though this makes me worry for his safety. I know he’s careful but gosh my Momma heart just gets twisted in knots over this high adventure stuff the thrives doing!
